Game of the Week #682

The Dutch Open in Dieren was won by IM Eelke de Boer, who recently scored his first grandmaster norm in Maastricht. Young Dutch FM Saša Albers missed his first IM norm by half a point after a well played tournament, but he did impress with his fantastic win over GM Koen Leenhouts, which is our Game of the Week.

Strategical depth, harmony between the pieces, the game has a good flow and a beautiful finish.

Warm-up question: What would you play here with White?

This week's show

In this opening Black opts for active piece play and is not afraid to fight for the initiative from an early stage. One of the many good features of this opening is that Black is often the side which controls the pace of the game.
